Blocks Are Helpful: Yoga with Kim Allcock at Yoga Loka, Reno, Nevada: July 9, 2017
I'm sort of resistant to props of any kind, and I'm aware such has ties to my somewhat resistance to help. Working with blocks today were super helpful in chair pose.
I guess when you've exhausted all your own devices, you become available to help.
We worked with chair pose and twist first on our own. Second set with the block between our shins, third set between our upper thighs, and fourth removed the blocks.
Yoga is about creating new ways to be receptive to help, new ways to build strength, and finding more ease in bodies and attitudes. Block in yoga class and in life aren't here to hold us out, but draw us deeper in to our correct alignment.
