Snuggling at home with Star. She’s so easy to love .

I don't know why I get so nervous before classes. Like, a day before. I've been through the "usual" suspects..I want people to like it (and more specifically, me), I don't want to look stupid, I"m insecure about my skills as a yoga teacher.

Those things are clear, and because I can see them, I can see my way through the difficulties because I love the yoga so much. I love practicing together with people and diving in to, some might say, geeky and nerdy things.

Like today we spent some time being in love with our own hands. We did some mudras and we touched our hopes and dreams and inner beauty. We asked how our hands could be of service to the world. We held space for each other to let our inner lights shine, no matter how wierd or difficult shapes got.

"A city on a hill can't long be hidden", it says in Matthew 5:14. Staying small in the world doesn’t really serve anything and neither does staying in bed under the covers because you’re afraid people won’t like you or think what you say is stupid .

Shining from the heart and showing up real and true and vulnerable takes practice. So that’s what we did today.

Here’s our sequence:
