The Medicine Of Exhale: Teaching Flow and Restore at 808 Wellness, Kihei, Maui, HI: May 10, 2019
There has been a lot of energy swirling around here. By definition yoga is the calming of the mind (sutra 1.2). The texts are filled with ways to do this and today we called in joy, gratitude, asana, pranayama, and the "sssssssssss" mantra which extends the exhale as well is said to be the transformative sound for the lungs, which hold our sadness and grief and transforms into the ability to let go (aparigrapha).
We practiced all of it, like yogi scientists, exploring what seems to work today, in this moment, which we all are learning, is different that any other moment so we did our best to stay present.
