Balance, Order, Rhythm and Harmony: Teaching Flow and Restore at 808 Wellness: Kihei, Maui, HI: April 19, 2019

Maui yogini sangha helps keep me in balance. Mahalo.

Maui yogini sangha helps keep me in balance. Mahalo.

Today is auspicous. It’s a full moon, the second full moon in Libra. The scales and balance in relationship is coming to full bloom. It’s also the day I start teaching again on Maui.

It’s also another day where I’m putting myself out there as a yogini writer who lives on Maui. These are my dreams.

Today’s class was inspired by Thomas Merton. He said, “Happpiness isn’t a matter of intensity but of balance and order, rhythm and harmony.” I’ve been pushing, wishing, wringing my hands, and biting my nails to move in new expansive directions. I’m also reminded all human effort is balanced with grace and I’m leaning to follow along with Merton’s suggestions of order, rhythm, and harmony. These are the alignments of what the yogis call “ritam”. A divine order and magic, which includes even me.

Today’s class was relaxed and it was about sharing and being with friends. I was delighted so many showed up today for a new class season. Thank you .
