Discernment is a Superpower. Teaching Flow and Restore at 808 Wellness: Kihei, Maui, HI: April 25, 2019
I didn't share with the class that my heart was breaking from the death of my cousin Haley, because the class wasn't about me.
Yet also class does always have a filter of the person who teaches it.
Haley battled brain cancer but Haley won anyway. Though he died, he died well . He lived well. Better than just about anybody. One of his favorite passages was Proverbs 17:22 so in Haley's honor, that was our primary alignment.
We spent some time also talking about discernment and dharma, and coming from a place of wholeness using the mantra "Already healed, already whole". Haley was great at that too even in spite of his illness. He must have known who he really was, who we all really are, which the sages say is pure Love. I never had that conversation with him, unfortunately, but when I see him in the afterlife its going to be one of the first things I ask him.
Here is our sequence:

It's true. A cheerful heart is good medicine. So is connecting with friends and yogis and I was extra grateful today for the chance to do that.
