Alignment with love and the rest follows: Yoga at Holy Cow Yoga & Holistic Center: Charleston, SC, June 18, 2017
The morning meditation's main message to me was practicing the pause. I know it can be done anywhere at anytime, but I do really love coming to a studio to practice. I loved this studio before I even walked in the front door because I love to logo.
It's extra work to find a studio, much less get there while on tour. But I"m learning to make that part of the practice. It doesn't always happen but often but the time I arrive at a yoga center I'm already in a state of adventure and curiousity, two very useful assets when practicing meditation and yoga.
The asana practice dove into the subtle to observe once you align with something, whether it be your feet, your heart, your breath, your hands, the rest of the body falls into place. I suppose that's why sages are always suggesting mental and emotional alignments like the yamas and niyimas.
The teacher today suggested we keep our hearts open all day, and see what happens.
Why not?
