Japanese Ham Sandwich, Bikram Yoga with Adriana, Tracy, CA, January 10, 2016

One of the last things I do before I go to bed is to use the app "Around Me" and also google closeby yoga studios with the wish I get to check in a morning class before we take off to our next show. If there's an early class within 2 miles, its a done deal.

So today I found a Bikram studio about a mile away from our hotel. It was a super gorgeous studio and a classic Bikram practice. I noticed more Bikramisms today and had a happy smiling face through the whole practice.

Bikram was my first serious practice, and where I started to learn to teach. Those 26 poses hold a lot of mental and emotional bindings, usually, but not today. I made an effort to be present in the moment, best I could, which was not as hard as it usually is because the effort was laid atop such gratitude that there was any kind of yoga closeby so I could get off the bus on onto a mat.

I chit chatted afterwards with the teacher Adriana and the lovely studio owners. It all felt amazinng, the poses, the studio, the people, the yoga was happening and I left with a smiling happy face indeed.

Which was a great practice to set me up for a blown radiator hose that occured as we made our way to Napa. Instead of worrying and being upset, I took a nap while the capable powers that be did their job.

And then later that evening I got to see a bunch of great folks and hear a kick ass concert and see my little brother who always makes my heart sing.

Namaste.
