Catching vibes with 6 planets in the New Moon!

I don’t know about you, but for me, I can use all the help I can get these days. While I’ve been into working with the Moon and her cycles for a while, this new moon in Aquarius takes on a potent punch. I’m not toying around with this one. I’m not half-assing my efforts, silencing my dreams, or dabbling around in hocus-pocus pseudo pop science.

I’m all in.

At this new moon six planets are in Aquarius: the sun, the moon, Venus, Jupiter, retrograde Mercury, and Saturn. These are ideal conditions, they say, to declare your desires. There’s a lot of energy pouring forth for your benefit.

It’s not a time of force feeding my wishes to the cosmos, myself, or anyone else, for that matter. But I am deliberatly declaring what I want, celebrating that I actually know what that looks like, and feeling worthy of exquisite, beautiful things in my life. There is power in taking a stand for what you want; it requires deep breaths, the kind where you expel more than in inhale, a release of anything that inhibits our God given breath. Because, after all, we are here for a reason. We are loved, wanted, and needed on the planet at this time.

So stop settling and start asking.

The sign of Aquarius is the water bearer, but the element of this sign is air. Remembering water is made up of hydrogen and oxygen, we will do well to remember our dreams and desires are the building blocks of our lives.

Venus (love) and Jupiter (luck and abundance) conjoin, forming extraordinary scaffolding to hang our wishes. I vote you stop whatever you’re doing, and write at least one wish down. This practice alone can tell you a lot about yourself. How do you feel about stepping into your power? Commit to yourself because you are the only one who can literally release your heart’s desire into the airwaves.

One of the Buddhist Three Jewels takes on a particular shine this new moon…the sangha. Gather your friends and share your wishes and dreams. As well, listen to them tell you theirs. Practice speaking about your dreams. Words are powerful. By doing so you help lead the way for others to do the same. Aquarius has a leadership vibe.

This is how yoga gets passed around. And this is how the world truly makes authentic, lasting changes for the highest good, the deepest wishes, and brings the mantra “may all beings be happy and free” closer to home for all of us.
