Delight of the Earth, Love In The Wind, and Twinkle in the Toes: Teaching Yoga at the Grassy Knoll: Kihei, HI: December 5, 2020
I was in a super funk yesterday. I know I'm not alone here with the I'm OK, I'm not OK swirl. And that Not OK feeling, well, it just comes out of nowhere sometimes. Yet, too, I can track it's might with activities like too much coffee, too much news, to much, well, just about anything. My capacity to hold myself steady is thin, as of late.
Yoga is not the only to wind out of the dark, but it is sure one of my favorite ways. I resisted the urge to dive under the covers, again, and instead, picked up the phone and dialed for help, meaning setting up a pop up, let’s meet for yoga class with outdoor yoga sangha. I always do better with a little yoga with friends, and this morning was no exception.
We played with Kahil Gibran's verse that says. "forget not the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the wind loves to play with your hair". We yoga-ed from the crown of our heads to our tippy star toes.
It's so true, what the Buddha said, the sangha is one of the crown jewels of a happy life.
