Good Morning Grace! Teaching Yoga at the Grassy Knoll: Kihei, HI: November 30, 2020
Just before the sun rises high in the sky, our grassy knoll is shaded and dark. Such echos the yoga practice; we show up, then brighten up as we gain more clarity through the cleansing effects of the practice.
A common conversation among Maui residents is “I feel grateful to be here. I feel so lucky”. As Edna in The Incredibles reminds us ,“Luck favors the prepared, Darling”
Einstein said the same thing. While ultimately all that happens is a matter of Divine Grace, our human effort is all important in attracting how our lives go.
The practice prepares us for Grace.
When we give ourselves to grace, when we make the effort to surrender to the Divine, not only can we feel better for ourselves, but we can be open and more loving, which translates to a kinder more gentle world for all of us.
