Meeting Vishwakarma with Brent at Happy-U Namaste Yoga: Ocean Beach, California: September 12, 2017

Today in Brent's class I met Lord Vishwakarma, the architect of yoga and energy of manifesting new projects. Perfect. I need all the help I can get, especially now I went public with my blog and website.

Today is a tour day off , meaning no drive and no concert. I went to yoga, ate an organic acai bowl, had a stroll around the city, and even got a manicure. I cling to known, feel-good activities, and take it as easy as possible. When we're out here and on a day off,  its always a temptation to kick back and not work at all, which of course causes some mischief because when you're on tour there is always work to do.

The main reason I go to yoga is so I won't get stuck in overwhelm and the bombardment of the unknown, which is especially potent during the touring experience. I rely on meeting new teachers and experiencing new studios to keep me steady and on the path of dharma.

Meeting Vishwakarma isn't a coincidence. It feels like a guide from beyond. A helper to encourage me to not give up upon my dream of finding the balance between the seemingly opposite world of rock and yoga, of touring and teaching, and for that matter action and grace. The Bhagavad Gita teaches to do our work, but surrender the fruits of our actions.

It feels like a nudge to answer those lingering emails, finish the poster for our 2018 tour, and write this blog.
