Real Music Is Connection with Suzie at Steadfast and True Yoga in Nashville: July 26, 2016

The scheduled yoga class today turned out to be a private class. I used to 'hide out' in yoga classes and still occasionally like to. But today the practice required anything but hiding.

Real yoga, like real music, isn't about distraction or amusement or getting away from it all, but about connection. Its about tuning in and being with.

So I got the opportunity to chit chat a little bit with my teacher in between and excellent series to "de-road" me. Being in Music City, she totally got what I was asking for.

A few stretches that were awesome:

Side walking Pigoen (pigeon then walk your hand to one side and then then other)
and
Supported bridge
stretch out legs (one at a time)
bend knee (one at a time) like supported camel

Through our conversation in the class and connecting I was provided a yoga class that took the travel knots right out. I learned a lot today. Not only some great sequences and poses but also the more useful lesson to show up, suit up, and connect.
