Too Much Rock n' Roll Makes You Dizzy: Yoga at Uptown Yoga Lakewood with Janie: Dallas, Texas: May 17, 2016

One of my favorite yoga  moments in recent history happened today in supine pigeon when Janie had us rocking back and forth. A little rock n' roll, she said, is soothing. And it is.

Too much makes you dizzy.

True again.

We're three shows into a a 52 week run with the Doobie Brothers and Journey and it is a lot of rock n' roll. After coming off 6 weeks off and yoga everyday I'm a little cranky and missing a steady practice that I love so much.

Yet I also can see that Yoga isn't the practice on the mat as much as it is the preparation for living your life. I literally am becoming more flexible, and aware of more internal nooks and crannies while meanwhile my life is getting bigger and I'm asked to increase my capacity for it All.

Is this pain good for me?
Is this Rock n' Roll too much?

Today it feels like I'm in the zone. But I''m mindful and watching that it all doesn't become dizzingly too much. Its addicting, and alluring, and exciting. Ingredients for a runaway train.
