Full Moon in Aquarius Sunset Yoga: Kihei, Hi: August 22, 2021

I thank my lucky stars for our yoga sangha.

I thank my lucky stars for our yoga sangha.

It is said the full moon illuminates aspects that have been hidden from our view. All practices of yoga help us do that too, and when you combine a full moon with a yoga practice, well, real magic happens.

At least that was my experience in our Full Grassy Knoll practice this evening. And how did I know I was in the presence of magic? Colors were a little brighter, joy was a little deeper, and my heart..quiet. "Calm is higher than extacy", says Ramana Maharishi. Not that there's anything wrong, of course, with buzzy happy. But calm and content, feet on the earth state of mind is exquisite.

I really didn't have to say much, but I did. I probably over-talked. But instead of beating myself up about it, I'm choosing to learn a lesson from this big, bright, full Aquarius full moon, that contentment is an inside job, that love is an inexhaustible resource, and enjoying my life to the fullest feels mighty fine.
